There will be no service at The Lifehouse on Sun 5th September: instead we will be in Tiptree for the eagerly-anticipated visit of Daphne Kirk. Please use the contact form if you need a lift.
Daphne is a Youth and children’s specialist and has remarkable success with getting all ages encountering God together. Church will be followed by a shared lunch and an afternoon workshop which children AND adults will love! It's really worth doing the lunch and afternoon too.
Daphne's calling is to bring the generations together - so it's for everyone. Her message is that every generation is responsible for the next generation - parents, youth workers, every church member should be seeking to encourage, disciple and release the next generation AND parents are responsible for the discipleship of their children. However what she brings is especially suitable for teenagers - it is encounter based and she has material to bring a teenager from conversion to mission in 8 years! But she wants every church member to get it too and be involved in the process!
And this is based on the info on the back of one of her books: "if we don't proactively pour the life of the Kingdom into our children, they will absorb the life of the media, their peers, and of a world which is taking its last gasps, sinking into disarray on the pathway to destruction." (Daphne Kirk)
Children's unique formative years are being eroded and their futures formed by ungodly influences. Daphne's message is clear: it is an urgent wake-up call for the body of Christ to raise a generation who know their God and who have an uncompromising passion for Jesus. When we grasp our edict, then the impact throughout the earth will be clearly seen.
There is a need for us to equip children and young people for mission and evangelism - statistically we have not been winning the battle for this generation. Why do we have so many children with no discipleship and so few adults prepared and with a vision to pass on to them?
Daphne will convict, inspire and challenge you for this very purpose. The Holy Spirit is moving through the Body of Christ, bringing about transformation of vision, structures and values - the question is, are we ready for that revolution?
Finally:
Daphne's aim is, firstly, to help parents raise soldiers - children who have encountered the Father's heart for them and the world around them - she carries an anointing to lead young people (and adults) into some passionate intercession. secondly her aim is to help the church raise an army of passionate disciples ready for mission.
She has taken 'Fire to the Nations' to many parts of the world - SE Asia, Australia, South America, USA, Europe to name a few.
What she carries is well in line with the FIRE values, her material on hearing the voice of God is based on Mark Virkler and she has taught seminars for the TACF youth leaders who use her materials.
